He worked at the Ministry of Justice, Benue State and was responsible for the preparation of legal opinions and arguments for briefs on behalf of the state. He represented the state in litigation matters within and outside Benue State. He also acted as a member of the Corps Legal Aid Scheme (CLAUS), giving legal aid and free legal advice to the less privileged. He was also the Publisher and Editor in Chief of Legatee Magazine (for and on behalf of the Legal Aid Council) NYSC Benue State.
He also worked with THOMAS- OROGAN & CO. Legal Practitioners & Consultants. He had an integral involvement in highly contentious litigation matters at the Federal and State High Courts. He was also responsible for coordinating administrative functions as the Practice Manager, including the preparation of legal briefs, reviewing of diverse documents of varying lengths and complexities, researched and prepared advisory opinions on a wide range of legal issues.
He also had a brief stint with Olubankole Awosika & Co where he negotiated an engineering consultancy agreement for the construction of two high-rise buildings on behalf of an engineering consultancy firm. He was also engaged in the drafting of joint venture agreements between local entities and their cross-border counterparts. He also provides legal advice to Companies on potential liability, in order to take necessary steps to control the company’s exposure and assisted various HR departments of corporate organisations on revising employment contracts to facilitate the recruitment or dismissal of employees and to ensure its conformity to Labour Laws.
He earned his law degree at the University of Calabar and has vast experience in Litigation and commercial Law practice. He is also a member of Nigerian Institute of Management. He has worked in several law firms in his formative years as Counsel and also Clerked for a High Court Judge. His training stands him in good stead to handle diverse legal challenges with profound research skills and utmost professionalism.
